We got into St Maarten around 8 in the morning.  By the time we had breakfast and got our act together it was a little after 9 going ashore.  Right next to the pier where the Opera tied up was a little pier for water taxi.  It cost $5.00 for all day - back and forth to the shopping area and the center of the beach.  We got off at the shopping area and I looked for the place where we had purchased several things on our last trip here.  That business had moved to the Hotel Holland.  So, we did not get anything right away.  I asked around and found out where three camera shops where located.  The first one had a battery and a charger they said worked on Jackie's movie camera.  They next camera shop I found had a better selection of batteries, they had 2, 4 and 6 hour batteries. Of course, I got the 6 hour but they did not have any chargers.  They would charger the new battery for me.  So I went back to the water taxi and took it back to the Opera.   There I picked up the movie camera and headed back to town.  An hour and half later, they had the new battery fully charged, but still no charger.....  Scott, Charlie and I headed for the Fiesta Cafe, they had free internet.  Scott had his computer and he went on line.  We stayed there for over two hours, eating hamburgers and drinking several drinks.  It was a very nice place with a cool breeze and there pina-coladas were outstanding.

Later on, we went looking for the girls but could not find them..... at about 2:30 we headed back to the ship.
