| We all had a good breakfast on the Carnival Liberty and got off as soon as they open the gang way. The ship was running late, over an hour late, and the ship was putting out bad information...... I had arranged with Papillon to have a van meet us at the pier. We had good looking driver waiting for us. Charles & Maia Petty, Tom and Cindy Fry, Carmen and I were there right away; of course Steve and Julie Walsh were running a little be late... But we got off at a good time, at least 30 prior to any of the ship tours..... We had discussed Florence with the driver and believed it would be better to go striaght to Florence and the San Miniato area.. San Miniato al Monte is a beautiful church which over looks Florence. It has a cemetary with the witer of Pinocchio buried within. Other reviews of San Miniato de Monte can be found by clicking. It is one of the most beautiful sites in Florence and that is saying a lot!!! | |||
