On the morning of December 3rd, we got up and had a very good breakfast at the Inn. We took the short 5 mile drive to the pier. Off loaded our bags and the wives and children began the boarding process. Us guys took the 3 vans and paid for pier side parking in covered garage. You need to get there early to get parking in the covered garage. Oh, Charles T, Lenore, Charles W and Emily Ann had jointed us at the La Quinta prior to us all going to the ship. That was why we now had three vans. We also traded Christmas presents and children clothing at the motel prior to driving to the Port. It was a pain getting on the ship; we had to wait in a line for over half hour. But, at last, we got on board the Carnival Glory. We dropped our carryon bags in the cabins and headed for the Lido Deck - Time to eat! The children had a ball exploring the ship. We had our boat drill, but our vest back in the cabin and watched our sail out to open sea. On the port side, (left), I could see the launch pad at Kennedy Space Center. Now on the starboard side, (right), you could see Cocoa Beach. After this we all headed to dinner. |
