Leaving a beautiful Fort Lauderdale a little after 6:00 PM and running just a little late because of aircraft getting in late to Miami. However; we had seven days a sea to make up the time. We had the abandon ship boat drill that evening prior to dinner, around 4 PM. We met in the theater and then walked out to the life boats. We had all of our suitcases in the room by 4 and Carmen was busy putting the clothes up. Our room was a little smaller than the one on Carnival's Miracle and not quite as nice, but it had a balcony which enhanced our cruise. But after roaming around the ship for a little while we headed to late sitting for dinner. What a nice group of people we met at our dinning table, there were Holly and Heather Bishop; Joseph and Joyce Perets; Sally Rubio and her daughter, Linda Quarry. The Bishops were from Washington, the Perets were from Florida and Sally and Linda lived in California. From the first night on we enjoyed good company and lively conversations. What several people had said about the Constellation was true, it was a fantastic ship with outstanding employees. The food was far better than the Opera and the only food better on the Miracle was the pizza. This was a wonderful experience, every day was better..... This was the best cruise we have taken for service, everyone went out of their way to please you. If you really like being overwhelm with service, try Celebrity Cruise's ship, the Constellation.... |
