We started this trip from our home in Virginia Beach.  We drove over to Norfolk Naval Air Station and got on a MAC aircraft headed to Rota, Spain.  In less than 10 hours, from our front door to Carmen's sisters apartment in El Puerto De Santa Maria, Cadiz, Spain.  The cost was nothing and the flight was enjoyable.

Part of an outstanding vacation should be going to and from the location of your vacation or at least that is what I believe.  Carmen, her sisters; Ica and Quaquina, Juan Luie y Maria Carmen and I went out for a good lunch at a local restaurant.  Went back to Ica's apartment and pickup our suit cases and headed for the train station.   We left El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain to get on the Brilliance of the Seas ship at Barcelona, Spain.   We took an overnight sleeper train which included a room with a small bathroom and dinner and breakfast.  We got on the train about 9:00 PM and was in Barcelona by 9:00 AM.

Just seeing the Brilliance of Sea was fantistic.  It is a very beautiful ship and our stateroom was on the 9th floor at the back of the ship.

A map of our ship's cruise is below
