Florence, truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world.  We left Pisa and headed toward Florence around 10:30.  Our driver, David from Papillon was extremely well versed on Florence.  He did not have a business card and I do not remember his full name. However, David took us to Square Michelangiolo which is on a hill next to Florence.  There were several vendors there and a place to have a cup of coffee or a beer or just enjoy the view of Florence.  From the Piazzale Michelangiolo, he took us up to The Church of San Miniato al Monte .  This is a beautiful place to visit and The Monumental Cemetery which is along side should be visited also.  Almost everything the David told us about this area is cover by the link above.  This is a place one should see while visiting Florence and the view of Florence from this area is spectacular.  

We will again be in Florence on the 6 of May 2006.  I have already contacted Papillon, they will be waiting on the pier with a sign "Beckett".
