We arrived at Piraeus just before 7:00 am.  We had already had a good breakfast and headed for the gangway.  As soon as we got on the pier, there was Papillon driver with a sign "Olive".  After getting into the Mercedes, we headed to Athens.  George, our driver had a DVD player with a tour of Athens playing.  On our way there the roads were in bad shape, they were cutting thru and adding things for the Olympic which would be there within a couple of months.  The first place George took us was The Acropolis of Athens .  They were working hard on the Acropolis area to restore that area.  I have included several picture of the area.   There are two sets of pictures below, the first ones are horizontal and the second ones are vertical pictures.  They are both in the order we took them.

The first place we stop in Athens for shopping was surely a friend of the driver.  She had a shop with numerous items for sale, all over price.  Of course, we did not buy anything.  From the first shop we headed to  Ermou Street and did some real good shopping.  Or at least, I believe the area was along Ermou Street

From Ermou Street we went to the Presidential Palace to see the changing of the Guard.
